You are now entering Kennerleigh...

Kennerleigh is a small village almost exactly in the geographical centre of Devon.

At its heart is the village shop and post office  which serves not just Kennerleigh but a number of other villages, farms, and rural districts covering an area of some forty square kilometres. There is little public transport and a number of residents depend on the shop for their supplies - especially in times like the winters of 2009-10 and 2010-11. 

When the post office was threatened with closure in 2008 that in turn put the future of the shop in doubt. Residents from Kennerleigh and all around rallied and worked together to find a means to save it, and with the help of local and national bodies - in particular Devon County Council - both the shop and post office are today thriving.

 



This website is brought to you by KaDCA, a voluntary organisation formed by the local community to support the shop, and other community projects.
